Video Of State Rep's Arrest: 'This Is Going To Be The Most Famous Arrest You've Ever Made' Says Dem

(Detroit Free Press) — A video of State Representative Rebekah Warren's DUI arrest shows her failing a field sobriety test, telling officers her arrest is "going to be the most famous arrest you've ever made."

The video, obtained by WXYZ (Channel 7) through a public records request, captures the representative, D-Ann Arbor, swerving before hitting the guardrail as the police vehicle approached.

Officers asked Warren to perform a standard field sobriety test, which she fails. She then refused a field breathalyzer test.

Warren was taken to a hospital nearby for a blood alcohol test, which showed her blood alcohol content was .212, nearly three times the legal 0.08 limit, according to WXYZ.

"You don't understand, I'm elected. I'm a senator. People will be, like, the senator got arrested.

That'll be, like, (expletive). This is going to be the most famous arrest you've ever made," Warren can be heard saying in the video.

John Kerry, In Now-Deleted Expletive-Laced Tweet, Addresses Report He Was Overheard Planning 2020 Run

(Fox News) — Former Secretary of State John Kerry was reportedly overheard in a hotel restaurant Sunday warning of the very real "possibility of Bernie Sanders taking down the Democratic Party -- down whole," according to an NBC News report that sent shockwaves through an already-fractured liberal constituency bracing for a potentially historic Sanders win in Monday's pivotal Iowa caucuses.

Kerry, in the Renaissance Savery Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa, on the eve of the caucus vote, also reportedly remarked that "maybe I'm f---ing deluding myself here," but that he could conceivably launch a run for president now that donors "have the reality of Bernie" surging in the polls.

Kerry, who is in town as a Joe Biden surrogate, added that donors such as venture capitalist Doug Hickey would have to "raise a couple of million," and that he would need to leave the board of Bank of America and stop giving paid speeches.

Immediately after the report broke, Kerry fired off a tweet with an uncharacteristic expletive, as he didn't outright deny that he had been overheard by the reporter saying Sanders posed an existential threat to the Democratic Party.

'An Unacceptable And Upsetting Environment':
2020 Democratic Host Committee Under Investigation

(Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) — The two top officials overseeing Milwaukee's host committee for the 2020 Democratic National Convention were sidelined Monday amid allegations of a toxic work culture.

In a letter to staff obtained by the Journal Sentinel, the board said it had retained an attorney to investigate "concerns about the work environment" for the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee.

During the investigation, Liz Gilbert, president of the host committee, will not be in the office and "will not have direct contact with staff," the letter says. Adam Alonso, the chief of staff for the group, has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the probe.

The two have previously come under criticism for continuing to do work for New Jersey Democrats while leading the Host Committee full time.

According to investigators cited by The Florida Times-Union, Mauldin hired Binderim to do some work on her home, but when he failed to complete the job she demanded her money back. She disappeared Oct. 25 and investigators say Binderim soon became a prime suspect.

Aspiring Rapper Gets 99 Years In Prison For
Paying Friend To Kill Mother; Gunman Gets 100

(Chicago Sun-Times) — Yolanda Holmes doted on her son, Qaw'mane Wilson, an only child she lavished with fancy clothes, jewelry and a Mustang.

At 23, the aspiring rapper who called himself "Young QC" wanted more, and hired a hitman to kill his mother, Cook County Judge Stanley Sacks said Friday, as he sentenced Wilson to 99 years in prison. The gunman, Eugene Spencer, was sentenced to 100 years.

"The word is 'matricide,' meaning murder of one's own mother," Sacks said as he stared down from the bench at Wilson and Spencer.

"Whatever he wanted, his mother gave to him. A car. A job. One could say he was spoiled. She gave Qaw'mane life, and it was his choice to take it away from her."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WSB-TV) — A van drove through a Republican Party tent during a voter registration event Saturday at a Walmart parking lot in Florida.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is reporting that a van drove through the Republican Party of Duval County's tent around 3:45 p.m. while volunteers were registering voters. The Republican Party of Duval County had six volunteers at the Kernan Village shopping center.

An older brown van, driven by a white man in his early 20s, approached the tent, officials said. He then drove right through the table and tent with his van. The driver then stopped, got out of the van and took a video of the scene, flipped off the victims and fled. As of now, the driver has not been identified.

Rare Hot Wheels Chevrolet Camaro Found
That Could Be Worth Over $100,000

(Fox News) — It might be time to clean out your parents’ basement.

Celebrity toy collector Joel Magee has acquired one of the rarest Hot Wheels cars ever made, and it may be worth an astronomical amount.

The 1968 Custom Camaro was one of a handful of Enamel White prototypes for the original “Sweet 16” car that were never meant to be sold.

Designers painted the cars white near the end of the process to help spot imperfections, according to Magee, but the color was never offered on the production toy. He told Fox News Autos that insiders believe the designers brought the cars home for their kids to play with, so a few ended up in circulation.
