Tim Walz Grilled For
Comparing ICE Agents To 'Nazi Gestapo'

(The Blaze) — During a Thursday hearing, former Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) was brutally grilled by Republican lawmakers for his past comments likening Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to the "Nazi Gestapo."

Tampon Tim WalzWalz appeared alongside Democratic Govs. JB Pritzker of Illinois and Kathy Hochul of New York to testify on sanctuary cities before the House Oversight Committee. During the hearing, Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) confronted Walz for comments he made during a commencement ceremony in May where he said, "Donald Trump's modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the street."

'Inflammatory rhetoric such as yours ... is responsible for putting a target on the back of every ICE agent who is risking their life to protect our communities.'

The insinuation Walz made is that federal law enforcement agencies under the direction of President Donald Trump are like the Nazi secret police deployed by Adolf Hitler.

Dr Phil Slams CNN, MSNBC News Coverage Of
Anti-ICE Riots In Los Angeles

(Fox News) — Dr. Phil blamed the media for "encouraging" the ongoing anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles Thursday.

On "The Real Story," the talk show host shared multiple photos and videos of chaos from the riots in L.A., and juxtaposed it with how members of the media have worked to downplay it. "Your eyes don’t deceive you, but the media does," he said.

In one clip, he showed CNN host Dana Bash downplaying what is happening in L.A. in comparison to 1992, saying, "That was a real riot." "Guess this isn’t a real riot," Dr. Phil quipped sarcastically.

He proceeded to share a video of MSNBC interviewing Rep. Judy Chu, D-Calif., with a split screen of cars on fire as she referred to the riot as a "manufactured crisis." Dr. Phil retorted that MSNBC’s news coverage is what’s actually "manufactured."

He mocked one MSNBC reporter saying the protest had a "celebratory atmosphere," while another host said that these are "peaceful" protests that whole families are attending.

 New Tyrannosaur Species Could Be
A Missing Link To The Giants

(Nature) — Long before Tyrannosaurus rex stalked the planet, a Dragon Prince reigned supreme. Paleontologists have discovered a new 'missing link' species that cleared the way for the iconic giant carnivores.

Tyrannosaur PrinceThe new mid-size tyrannosaur, which lived about 86 million years ago, has been named Khankhuuluu mongoliensis – a name that translates to "Dragon Prince of Mongolia" in honor of where it was found.

"We wanted to capture that Khankhuuluu was an early and smaller species, so a prince, rather than a king like its much larger tyrannosaur descendants," Darla Zelenitsky, paleontologist at the University of Calgary in Canada, tells ScienceAlert.

Together with fellow UCalgary paleontologist Jared Voris, Zelenitsky co-led a study describing the new species based on two partial skeletons that had been gathering dust in a museum collection since the early 1970s.

(The Blaze) — The House passed another bill Tuesday night protecting election integrity, but Democrats are once again digging their heels in.

The bill repeals a Washington, D.C., ordinance known as the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022 that allows noncitizens to vote in local elections. Just 56 Democrats joined 210 Republicans to bar noncitizens from voting in these American elections, while 148 Democrats voted to continue allowing illegal aliens to vote in D.C. Republican Rep. August Pfluger of Texas, who led the bill in the House, said the legislation was "common sense" and that "only American citizens should be able to vote in U.S. elections."

TSA Warns Travelers About Sneaky Way Hackers
Are Stealing People's Data At Airports

(Fox News) — Flight passengers need to know about a new way hackers can access personal information.

In a public statement posted to Facebook, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) warned that just simply plugging your phone into USB ports for a charge while sitting in the airport can be a cybersecurity risk.

"In this technology age, cybersecurity has never been more important," TSA wrote in the post.

"Hackers can install malware at USB ports (we’ve been told that’s called ‘juice/port jacking’)." It continued, "So, when you’re at an airport, do not plug your phone directly into a USB port." The agency instead suggested bringing a TSA-compliant power brick or battery pack to charge your devices.

Republicans Drub Democrats 13-2 In Fifth Straight Congressional Baseball Game Win

(The Hill) — Republicans once again defeated the Democrats at the Congressional Baseball Game on Wednesday, taking home a 13-2 win for the GOP’s fifth straight victory in the annual bipartisan contest to raise money for charity.

The margin was not nearly as wide as last year’s 31-11 Republican walloping, but the Democrats’ defensive struggles and failure to capitalize on several scoring opportunities – they left nine runners on base – doomed them to another lopsided defeat.

The Democrats, as is true most years, sported individual jerseys of their choice, while Republicans opted for their standard red uniform and “Make America Great Again” baseball caps. Some went further in on MAGA memorabilia, with starting pitcher Rep. Greg Steube (Fla.) sporting gold sneakers signed by President Trump before the game.
