| Trump Admin Determines SJSU Violated Title IX With Handling Of Trans Volleyball Player Blaire Fleming (Fox News) — The U.S. Department of Education (ED) announced Wednesday that it has determined San Jose State University violated Title IX due to its handling of a transgender former volleyball player. The university now has 10 days to comply with a series of agreements or risk "imminent enforcement action." The ED launched an investigation into the university last February after a highly publicized college volleyball season that saw seven teams forfeit games to SJSU amid the controversy. Former SJSU co-captain Brooke Slusser joined multiple lawsuits against the NCAA, the Mountain West Conference and representatives of the university after alleging she had been made to share changing spaces and bedrooms with trans teammate Blaire Fleming in 2023 without being told that Fleming is a biological male. Former assistant coach Melissa Batie-Smoose was suspended and later not re-signed to a new contract after filing a Title IX complaint against the school for its handling of Fleming. See full story |
Trump Warns Iraq Against Reinstalling Nouri Al-Maliki As Prime Minister (WSJ) — President Trump warned Tuesday that his administration would no longer support Iraq if Nouri al-Maliki is named the country’s next prime minister. “I’m hearing that the Great Country of Iraq might make a very bad choice by reinstalling Nouri al-Maliki as Prime Minister,” Trump wrote in a social-media message. Because of Maliki’s policies and ideologies, Trump added, “if elected, the United States of America will no longer help Iraq and, if we are not there to help, Iraq has ZERO chance of Success, Prosperity or Freedom.” Maliki, a powerful Shiite politician, served as Iraq’s prime minister from 2006 to 2014. The Iraqi leader was initially supported by the George W. Bush administration at a time when the country was in danger of unraveling. But the U.S. later soured on Maliki, whom American officials accused of fanning sectarian tensions and pursuing an authoritarian agenda. After Islamic State militants swept into Iraq in 2014 and captured Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, the Obama administration insisted that Maliki relinquish his post before it committed to helping the Iraqi military roll back the extremists. | Trump Calls For Criminalizing 'Fake' Polls (Just the News) — President Donald Trump on Monday called for making fake polling a criminal offense, insisting that major surveys had under-counted his support and that they had done so to influence election results. "Fake and Fraudulent Polling should be, virtually, a criminal offense," he said on Truth Social. "As an example, all of the Anti Trump Media that covered me during the 2020 Election showed Polls that were knowingly wrong. They knew what they were doing, trying to influence the Election, but I won in a Landslide, including winning the Popular Vote, all 7 of the 7 Swing States, the Electoral College was a route, and 2,750 Counties to 525." Last week, Trump raged against the New York Times/Siena College survey showing him with 40% approval, despite favorable economic metrics. He further indicated plans to sue. "You can’t do much better than that, and yet if people examined The Failing New York Times, ABC Fake News, NBC Fake News, CBS Fake News, Low Ratings CNN, or the now defunct MSDNC," he added. "Polls were all fraudulent, and bore nothing even close to the final results. Something has to be done about Fraudulent Polling." See full story |

| CNN Leftist Repeats Myth A Right-Winger Killed Charlie Kirk (Legal Insurrection) — Some leftists are still clinging to the myth that a right-winger shot and killed Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, a claim repeated by late-night “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel without any serious consequence. During a panel discussion on Tuesday on CNN, commentator Tiffany Cross repeated a debunked assertion that a conservative killed Kirk on Sept. 10. “Let’s also not forget Charlie Kirk was murdered,” legal analyst Elie Honig said during a discussion about political violence. “Not by a left-wing extremist,” Cross jumped in to say. “That person espoused very right-wing extremism,” she said. “The right attacks the right,” Cross also said. “Those were right-wing people,” she said shortly after, repeating her assertion that a conservative killed Kirk.
