Trump Says He's Terminating Chevron's
Venezuela Oil Agreement

(Fox Business) — President Donald Trump says he is reversing a Biden-era grant allowing Chevron to operate within Venezuela on Wednesday.

Trump detailed the decision in a lengthy post on Truth Social, stating that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had not upheld his end of the bargain.

"We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022, and also having to do with Electoral conditions within Venezuela, which have not been met by the Maduro regime," Trump wrote.

"Additionally, the regime has not been transporting the violent criminals that they sent into our Country (the Good Ole’ U.S.A.) back to Venezuela at the rapid pace that they had agreed to," he added.

Pro-Palestine Demonstrators
Take Over New York's Barnard College

(Just the News) — More than 50 pro-Palestine demonstrators on Wednesday stormed Barnard College, which is affiliated with Columbia University, to protest the expulsion of two Barnard college students.

The "Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine" announced the protest on Wednesday afternoon, stating that it was organizing a "sit-in" outside of the dean's office.

The group demanded that the university reverse the expulsions, give amnesty to all students disciplined for anti-Israel protests, set a meeting with Barnard leadership, and abolish the college’s disciplinary system.

"DISRUPTION UNTIL DIVESTMENT, RESISTANCE UNTIL RETURN, AGITATION UNTIL AMNESTY. WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL OUR DEMANDS ARE MET. FREE PALESTINE," the group wrote on X.

'No Time To Waste': Navy's Ousted Top Officer
Speaks To Staff After DOD Leadership Shakeup

(Fox News) — Former Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti spoke to staff after the Trump administration ousted her and other top leaders at the Pentagon Friday, asserting that the Navy's mission will continue "unabated and undisrupted."

Franchetti, the first woman to serve as the chief of naval operations and on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, described leading the sea service as the "honor of a lifetime" and thanked Navy sailors for their service supporting the U.S.

"We are America’s Warfighting Navy and America is counting on us to deter aggression, defend our National security interests, and preserve our way of life," Franchetti, who had served as the Navy's top officer since 2023, said in a Tuesday LinkedIn post that has since been deleted. "We operate from seabed to space, around the globe and around the clock. Our mission continues, unabated and undisrupted…There is no time to waste."

Trump Administration Unveils Key Strategy To 'immediately' Bring Down Record-High Egg Prices

(Fox Business) — While record-high egg prices have left Trump officials "scrambling" for a solution to bring down costs, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins floated options to "immediately" reduce money spent on the dietary staple.

"We're looking at importing some eggs in the short term," she said from the White House lawn on Wednesday.

"We're talking to several countries around the world that can get us eggs right away. This would not be a long-term fix, but to immediately begin to bring those prices down."

The fourth pillar of a five-pronged approach to alleviating some of the cost burden, importing eggs is just a portion of a more all-encompassing plan that entails deregulation, investments in biosecurity, repopulating fowl and investing in vaccines and therapeutic research.

"At the end of the day, policy matters," Rollins told Fox News' Dana Perino.

Girl Scouts Defends Cookies Amid 'toxic' Concerns
In Ongoing Controversy Over Ingredients

(Fox News) — The Girl Scouts of the USA is responding to recent claims that its cookies contain "toxic" metals and other potentially harmful ingredients.

A study by the nonprofit group Moms Across America, in partnership with GMOScience, claimed that Girl Scout cookies were tested for contaminants and found to contain traces of toxic metals and glyphosate, which is a herbicide commonly used to kill weeds.

Joe Rogan on Monday referenced the report on his podcast, calling the cookies "toxic as [expletive]."

A spokesperson for the Girl Scouts of the USA told Fox News Digital this week, however, that its cookies are safe and meet all U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards.

"The health and safety of our customers is our top priority," the Girl Scouts, headquartered in New York City, told Fox News Digital in a statement.

There's A Critical Thing We Can All Do
To Keep Alzheimer's Symptoms At Bay

(Health) — Deep sleep could be key to forestalling slow declines in brain health that may one day lead to Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of dementia.

In their 2023 study of 62 older, cognitively healthy adults, researchers from the University of California (UC) Berkeley, Stanford University, and UC Irvine in the US found individuals with brain changes associated with Alzheimer's performed better on memory function tests as they got more deep sleep.

This was irrespective of education and physical activity, two factors along with social connection known to contribute to cognitive resilience in older age.

Those with similar Alzheimer's-linked changes who failed to get as much deep sleep didn't fare quite as well on the same tests. By comparison, sleep made little difference to those individuals with few deposits.

U.S. Kills Senior Military Leader Of
Al-Qaeda Affiliate In Syria

(Fox News) — A senior military leader of the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din, an Al-Qaeda affiliate, was killed in a precision airstrike in Syria carried out by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, according to a press release.

Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay was killed in an airstrike that CENTCOM says is part of its efforts to "disrupt and degrade" terrorists’ plans to harm civilians or military personnel from the U.S. and its allies.

"As we have said in the past, we will continue to pursue relentlessly these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region," Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, commander, U.S. Central Command, said in a press release.

This announcement comes just after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed a CBS News report that President Donald Trump had eased restrictions on American commanders authorizing airstrikes and raids. Hegseth tweeted out a link to the report on Friday morning with the caption, "Correct."

Gabbard Concerned About British Government's
Demand For Apple To Provide Access To Data

(Wash Times) — Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard says she has serious concerns about the British government’s reported demand that Apple provide backdoor access to any data stored in the cloud.

In a written response to members of Congress, Gabbard said this week that such a demand would violate Americans’ rights and raise concerns about a foreign government pressuring a U.S.-based technology company.

“This would be a clear and egregious violation of Americans’ privacy and civil liberties,” Gabbard told Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., who had written to express their worries.

Apple announced last week that it would stop offering an advanced data security option for British users. In a secret order, British security officials demanded that the U.S. tech giant create so-called backdoor access so that they could view fully encrypted material, the Washington Post reported this month, citing anonymous sources.

Warfare At The Washington Post: Journalists In ‘Open Rebellion’ Against Jeff Bezos

(PJ Media) — It’s not exactly a secret: Liberal journalists wanna write liberal stories and bash conservatives! But the problem is that there’s not an audience for it. The Washington Post lost $77 million last year.

Jeff Bezos, who owns the Washington Post, knows how to build a successful, stable, sustainable business: He’s worth about $227.5 billion and was the brains behind a little-known company called Amazon. It’s given him a firsthand window at commerce trends and spending habits. More than just about anyone else, he understands how households make financial decisions.

And he’s under absolutely no obligation – moral, political, or otherwise – to underwrite leftwing propaganda.

The Washington Post isn’t a public trust or a nonprofit educational program. Bezos spent $250 million on the Post in 2013 with the intent to make money.

The Washington Post explicitly acknowledged IN PRINT that this “isn’t a charity case for Jeff Bezos” and “there’s little reason to believe this is a passion project.”

Senate Advances Linda McMahon Nomination For
Education Secretary, Setting Up Final Vote For Monday

(Just the News) — The Senate on Thursday advanced Education Secretary nominee Linda McMahon's nomination in a critical vote along party lines, setting her nomination up for a final vote early next week.

The Senate invoked cloture on the nomination in a 51-47 vote, which sets her confirmation up for a full vote on Monday. No Democrat supported advancing the nomination. The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions cleared her nomination last week.

President Donald Trump nominated McMahon, who served as co-chair of his transition team, last year. She previously led the Small Business Administration during Trump's first term, and served as chairwoman of the board for America First Policy Institute.

The vote comes after McMahon confirmed that she supported Trump's plan to abolish the Education Department. “President Trump believes that the bureaucracy in Washington should be abolished so that we can return education to the states, where it belongs," McMahon wrote in a statement on Monday. “I wholeheartedly support and agree with this mission.”
