Bondi Cuts Out Leftist American Bar Association:
No More Access To Non-Public Info

(Daily Wire) — The Justice Department, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, pointed out the leftist bias of the American Bar Association (ABA) and ordered that it will bo longer have access to non-public information, including bar records.

The ABA uses a ratings process in which their Standing Committee rates each nominee “Well Qualified,” “Qualified” or “Not Qualified.” “Unanimous committee ratings appear as a single rating. In other situations, the rating from the majority or substantial majority (2/3 or more of those voting) of the Committee is recorded first, followed by the rating or ratings of a minority of the Committee. The majority rating is the rating of the committee,” the ABA notes on its website.

“The ABA has a history of taking liberal positions on issues including abortion, the death penalty, same-sex marriage, affirmative action, and the Second Amendment,” National Review stated in 2019.

 Migrant Arrested Over Handwritten Letter
Threatening Trump Assassination May Have Been Set Up

(NY Post) — An illegal migrant from Mexico who was arrested over a handwritten letter that threatened to assassinate President Trump may have actually been set up, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Mexican national Ramon Morales Reyes, 54, was taken into custody in Wisconsin after an ICE agent received the death threat letter on May 21, the Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday.

But in a stunning twist, sources said a handwriting analysis has since shown that Reyes didn’t pen the letter – and the actual culprit may already be behind bars.

Authorities are currently looking into whether an already incarcerated perp may have written the letter to set Reyes up because the migrant is an apparent witness in that person’s criminal case, the sources said. “The investigation into the threat is ongoing,” a senior DHS official said told The Post of the latest claims.

Paramount Has Offered $15 Million To Settle
CBS Lawsuit With Trump

(Reuters) — A month into negotiations, Paramount Global has offered $15 million to settle U.S. President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS News, but the parties remain far apart on terms, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the situation.

Trump’s team wants more than $25 million and is also seeking an apology from CBS News; it has also threatened CBS with another lawsuit related to alleged bias of its news coverage, the report added.

Paramount is expecting to nominate three new directors to its board in coming weeks, bringing the total to seven, while one current director plans to step down, as the company wants to make sure it has a full board in place in case the deal falls through, according to WSJ.

Reuters
could not immediately confirm the report. Paramount and the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS in October, alleging the network deceptively edited an interview with then-vice president and presidential candidate Kamala Harris to “tip the scales in favor of the Democratic Party” in the election.

Feds Take On Idaho College Town For
Blocking Church From Getting Permit

(Fox News) — The Justice Department accused a small city in northern Idaho of religious discrimination after it denied a zoning permit to a local evangelical church seeking to hold worship services.

The DOJ announced on May 20 it had filed a lawsuit alleging the city of Troy, Idaho, violated the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) after it denied a conditional use permit to Christ Church to hold services in its downtown C-1 zoning district, where nonreligious assembly uses such as clubs, museums, auditoriums, and art galleries were allowed.

The RLUIPA is federal legislation passed in 2000 that’s intended to "protect individuals, houses of worship, and other religious institutions from discrimination in zoning and landmarking laws," the DOJ states.

According to the lawsuit, Christ Church, a small but quickly growing evangelical church based in Moscow, Idaho, sought to accommodate its growth in September 2022 by establishing another church campus in the neighboring town of Troy.

The conservative, evangelical church faced opposition from some in the Moscow community over the years because of its beliefs and influence in the liberal college town, with some residents boycotting businesses tied to the church, according to the Spokesman-Review.

Parasite Infecting Up To 50% Of People
Can Decapitate Human Sperm

(Health |The Conversation) — Male fertility rates have been plummeting over the past half-century. An analysis from 1992 noted a steady decrease in sperm counts and quality since the 1940s. A more recent study found that male infertility rates increased nearly 80% from 1990 to 2019.

The reasons driving this trend remain a mystery, but frequently cited culprits include obesity, poor diet and environmental toxins.

Infectious diseases such as gonorrhea or chlamydia are often overlooked factors that affect fertility in men. Accumulating evidence suggests that a common single-celled parasite called Toxoplasma gondii may also be a contributor: An April 2025 study showed for the first time that "human sperm lose their heads upon direct contact" with the parasite.

I am a microbiologist, and my lab studies Toxoplasma. This new study bolsters emerging findings that underscore the importance of preventing this parasitic infection.

Rubio Announces Intent To 'Aggressively'
Pull Chinese Student Visas

(Campus Reform) — Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that the federal government is working to cancel visas for Chinese students.

Rubio said in a brief Wednesday press release that the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will work together to “aggressively” revoke visas for students from China.

Visa cancellations will also include students with direct ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or “studying in critical fields.” “We will also revise visa criteria to enhance scrutiny of all future visa applications from the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong,” said Rubio.

China is the second-largest source of international students for the United States – with India being the first, as noted by NBC News. During the 2023-2024 academic year, there were roughly 277,000 Chinese students studying in American universities.

Police Investigate Vessel With 11 Decomposed Bodies Washed Ashore In Caribbean

(Fox News) — Police have launched an investigation into a vessel that washed ashore on an Eastern Caribbean island that contained human remains of at least 11 people in an advanced state of decomposition.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said it received a report at about 10:45 a.m. Monday that a suspicious vessel had been discovered along the coastline of the island of Canouan near Little Bay and Cherry Hill.

Officers from the Canouan police station responded and discovered the remains of 11 people on the boat. Police said the boat measured 45 feet long, 12 feet wide and 6 feet deep, and it was found grounded in the area.

The remains of the people onboard were in what police called an "advanced state of decomposition," and some of the remains were not fully intact.

Gavin Newsom Is Seething After Congress Repealed California’s Gas Car Ban

(Climate Change Dispatch) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) was fuming Thursday as Congress passed a repeal of California’s electric vehicle (EV) mandate, which relied on a special waiver from the outgoing Biden administration in December. “Make America Smoggy Again,” he announced, sarcastically.

The Senate voted 51-44 to repeal the waiver, after a bipartisan majority in the House had done the same, as Breitbart News reported earlier this month.

The repeal relies on the Congressional Review Act, a Bill Clinton-era law that allows Congress to repeal regulations that are not presented to it for timely approval. Newsom says the waiver is exempt from review. In a press statement, he vowed to sue.

However, as Ashley Zavala of Sacramento-era NBC affiliate KCRA reported, neither California voters nor American voters generally have ever voted to approve Newsom’s EV mandate.

 Researchers Find 'Compelling Evidence'
Of Possible Noah's Ark Remains In One Country

(Fox News) — A group of international researchers say they're getting closer and closer to identifying the possible remains of Noah’s Ark – and new test results are promising.
Ark site
The focus of the research, the Durupinar site in eastern Turkey, was first identified in the 1950s.

For decades, it's been speculated that the boat-shaped site once harbored Noah's Ark, but no definitive proof has emerged. Now, an organization called Noah's Ark Scans believes that recent soil samples point toward the site once housing "ancient wood."

Researchers collected soil samples from the site last September and analyzed them through this winter. The results "show significantly higher levels of organic matter and potassium compared to surrounding areas," according to a recent statement from the organization.

"[The results] provide compelling evidence of a unique, potentially man-made structure beneath the surface, distinct from the surrounding mudflow," Noah's Ark Scans said.

Sexual Activity Before Bed
Can Help You Sleep Better

(Health) — Next time you can't sleep, it might help to nudge your partner or reach for the nightstand drawer. A new study has confirmed what many have already figured out – sexual activity just before bed can help you sleep better.

Researchers at Central Queensland University and Flinders University in Australia monitored the sleep quality of seven heterosexual couples for 11 consecutive nights. Each night before bedtime, they alternated between three conditions: solo masturbation, partnered sex, or no sexual activity.
Sleep study chart
Participants completed daily surveys about their sex and sleep, and their sleep quality was measured objectively by polysomnography headsets that record brain activity, movement, and breathing.

Unsurprisingly, on nights with some form of sexual activity, participants pushed back their bedtimes by up to half an hour – but this was offset by a greater sleep efficiency. They also tended to spend less time awake during the night. These results weren't biased by self-reporting, either – they came straight from the sleep-recording headsets.
