 Here’s What Cincinnati Mayor
Had To Say About Attack Victim

(Daily Signal) — Cincinnati’s Democrat Mayor Aftab Pureval continues being called out for his handling of a recent attack against a couple in his city and outrage over the local response hasn’t waned.

His comments Friday did not help.

HollyLast Friday, Pureval gave a press conference in which he admitted he had not been in contact with the victims, including a single mother named Holly. When questioned by a reporter about how he had not been in touch with the victims, Pureval brought up other matters involving the city.

“This was a fight, it was a horrific fight, but as council member and others have said, we have significant other public safety challenges,” Pureval said, as he mentioned children involved in “gun violence.”

“We have violent crime like every other major city across the nation that requires our attention and our bandwidth and so I don’t traditionally meet or speak to every violent of violent crime in our city and that’s consistent with my approach today,” he added.

Obama-Appointed Judge Orders "Construction Pause"
At Alligator Alcatraz

(Not the Bee) — Well, it's a day that ends in "Y" so you knew we had to tell you about a liberal judge making a ludicrous ruling to keep illegals in the country.

AlligatorDoesn't the judge understand that the Alcatraz is the only thing stopping the alligators from devouring the illegals???

According to Politico, the judge has merely stopped further construction on the detainment center for a couple of weeks.

District Judge Kathleen Williams ordered the state to, at the very least, stop installing additional lighting, infrastructure, pavement, filling or fencing and to halt excavation for 14 days. She called the request for the temporary restraining order from the plaintiffs, which represent environmental groups, 'pretty reasonable' to prevent further interruption to the ecosystem. The judge, an Obama-era appointee, said the plaintiffs had introduced evidence of 'ongoing environmental harms.'

So ... this is actually less about the conditions in AA than it is about the "environmental impact." [Really!?]

Nearly One-Third Of Detainees Released From Gitmo
May Have Returned To Terrorism

(Just the News) — Close to one-third of the hundreds of detainees released from detention at Guantánamo Bay since the terrorist attacks of 9/11 are either confirmed to have returned to terrorism or are suspected of having done so, according to new data released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

ODNI revealed in a declassified report late last month that 739 suspected terrorists have been released from Guantánamo Bay after the Cuban island base began to be used as a detention facility in the wake of 9/11.

Of those, ODNI assessed that 137 of the detainees who were let go are “confirmed of reengaging” in terrorist-related activities, with the Defense Intelligence Agency putting the number at 140 of the detainees.

This means the U.S. intelligence community believes that 18.5% (or, alternatively, 18.9%) of the former detainees held at Gitmo have rejoined terrorism in some form or fashion. Of those confirmed to have rejoined terrorism, 39 are now deceased, 23 are now in foreign custody, and 75 remain at large.

‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Has Some New Competition:
The ‘Speedway Slammer’

(Daily Wire) — The Trump administration announced that it will be partnering with the state of Indiana to create a new ICE detention facility modeled after Florida’s “Alligator Alcatraz,” with the new location dubbed the “Speedway Slammer.”

The new ICE detention facility, which will be established in coordination with the Indiana state government, will be located at the Miami Correctional Facility, located roughly 60 miles north of Indianapolis.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the new facility, explaining that it will allow the federal law enforcement agency to hold another 1,000 illegal aliens at a time.

“COMING SOON to Indiana: The Speedway Slammer. Today, we’re announcing a new partnership with the state of Indiana to expand detention bed space by 1,000 beds. Thanks to Governor Braun for his partnership to help remove the worst of the worst out of our country,” Noem said in a statement to Fox News announcing the new ICE detention facility.

Trump Putting More Feds On DC Streets In Response To Out-Of-Control Youth Violence

WASHINGTON (NY Post) —  President Trump is planning to deploy federal law enforcement on the streets of the nation’s capital as early as Friday to crack down on violence committed by gangs of roaming “youths,” the White House confirmed to The Post.

“DC residents can expect to see an increase in federal enforcement starting as early as tomorrow,” an administration official said Thursday, adding that operational details were still being finalized.

The move comes after a well-known former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer, Edward Coristine – also known as “Big Balls” – was attacked by teenagers as he intervened to thwart an attempted carjacking near Dupont Circle, about a mile north of the White House.

Coristine, 19, was beaten up and bloodied by about 10 juveniles at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday. A picture of the injured staffer was posted by Trump and Coristine’s former supervisor, Elon Musk, earlier this week.

DOJ To Seek Death Penalty Against Accused Jewish Museum Murderer Elias Rodriguez

(WFB) — The Department of Justice will pursue the death penalty against Elias Rodriguez, who is accused of murdering Israeli embassy staffers Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim outside a Jewish history museum in Washington, D.C., according to a report.

"The indictment against Elias Rodriguez is expected to include special findings for capital punishment, where the Justice Department indicates it can pursue the death penalty," CNN reported Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

In addition to the death penalty, prosecutors will seek federal hate crime charges against Rodriguez in a grand jury indictment this week, sources told CNN.

Rodriguez, an anti-Israel activist, has remained in custody since May 21, when he allegedly murdered Lischinsky and Milgrim in cold blood as the couple left an event at the Capital Jewish Museum. He kept firing at Milgrim as she lay wounded on the ground, then shouted, "Free, free Palestine," after killing both victims, according to police.

Nova Scotians Lament Early End To Summer,
Bans People From The Woods To Stop Wildfires

(Globe & Mail) — Standing along the rocky shores of Cape Breton Island, Jonathan Kanary is trying not to feel completely defeated. The manager and backcountry guide of a Nova Scotia adventure-tourism company, Live Life InTents, has been turning away customer after customer, many of whom drove across the country or flew overseas to be there.

Nearby, atop the Mabou Highlands walled by the Atlantic Ocean, Capes 100, a world-renowned trail race, has been cancelled this weekend – with organizers issuing deferrals and partial refunds for dozens of participants, while mile-marker signage is being haphazardly taken down by hand.

But they have no other option: Amidst unusually little Maritime rainfall this season, the province has announced a ban on most summertime activities in wooded areas to prevent wildfires.
