America's Fifth Column in the New Century

Most Americans have no idea how anti-American the hardcore environmentalists—the Greens—in this nation truly are. They have never understood that the agenda of the Greens has always been directed to attacking all aspects of our economy, including the undermining of our military capability. Perhaps the attack on the Twin Towers and our Pentagon will at last cause the blindfold to fall from their eyes?

Here’s the official response of the Greens/Green Party USA, issued on September 13th, two days after the attack by Islamic terrorists. "What do people in the Third World want from the United States?" they asked.

Their answer was total surrender. Among their recommendations was "Stop interfering. If American-based corporations choose to take risks by attempting to steal another country’s natural resources, do not support these corporations with American military or in any way." This is pure Communism, naked in its hatred of the Capitalist system and the corporations that function within it.

Then the Greens/GreenParty USA went on to tell the United States to "Stop U.S. military incursions and blockages of needed food and other goods anywhere in the world." This is an example of the Big Lie at work. The U.S. has given $117 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan this year! The U.S. doesn’t blockade food, it provides it!

These contemptible people, hiding behind the mantle of environmentalism, then demand the U.S. "stop selling arms to the world" as if their masters in the former Soviet Union or their colleagues in Red China aren’t among the major arms dealers in the world.

And, of course, the Greens want to make sure that, if people don’t die from bombs and bullets, they will die from every disease transmitted by the billions of insect and rodent pests in the world. "Stop the manufacture and sale of most pesticides and industrial toxic chemical" they demand. Malaria alone will kill more people this year around the world than any military action.

The hubris and nastiness of the Greens wasn’t sated with these suggestions. While issuing a pro-forma condemnation of the attack on September 11th, they asserted that "The Green Party is also strongly opposed to the military strikes that the U.S. government is threatening against other countries accused of ‘harboring terrorists.’" Apparently they want the U.S. to continue to accept the toll of the attacks on our citizens by the Islamic jihad that have been going on since the 1980’s.

These attacks, so far as the Greens are concerned, are America’s fault. In an official statement they condemned President Reagan’s retaliatory attack on Libya against Moammar Khadaffi after his agents had blown up a commercial airliner over Lockerbie, Scotland. I don’t recall any further trouble from Libya after that bombing run, do you?

Just as the Greens/Green Party USA voiced its pusillanimous attacks on America and our Capitalist economy, one could read from the same page as voiced by the World Socialists on their website. Again, after the pro-forma condemnations, these enemies of Capitalism expressed the view that the attacks had actually aided its defenders. "Far from dealing a powerful blow against imperialist militarism, terrorism plays into the hands of those elements within the U.S. establishment who seize on such events to justify and legitimize the resort to war in pursuit of the geopolitical and economic interests of the ruling elite."

Let me translate this for you, just in case you are unfamiliar with Commie Talk. "Imperialist militarism" is any effort of the U.S. and other capitalist-based nations to defend their system and security whenever they respond in any way to Communist acts of war such as those perpetrated by North Korea and Vietnam, or threatened by places like Cuba or Grenada, and their sponsors in the former Soviet Union or in Red China. It includes acts of war such as that by Iraq against Kuwait in the 1990’s.

Like their fellow travelers, the World Socialists blame the United States for the September 11th attack. "In the immediate aftermath of Tuesday’s events, politicians, editorialists and media pundits have declared over and over that Americans must recognize that the destruction of the World Trade Center means the United States is at war and must act accordingly. But the fact of the matter is that the U.S. government has been engaged in direct warfare in the Middle East, in one form or another, for the better part of two decades." They cited "massive material aid that it provides for Israeli military operations" claiming that "the United States has been bombing one or another Middle Eastern country almost continuously since 1983." Not only is this an atrocious lie, but 1983 was the year when the U.S. embassy in Beirut was blown up with considerable loss of American lives.

You need not read the whole statement about "The political roots of the terror attack on New York and Washington" to understand that the World Socialists are enemies of the United States, along with the Greens. Their elaborate reconstruction of the truth cannot hide the fact they are truly a Fifth Column at work in America.
